BUS 295 Business Strategy

Explores strategic business management and the development and securing of a sustained competitive advantage for a business entity. Considers intended vs. emergent strategies, strategic thinking, internal and external analysis with strategic framework such as VRIO and Porter’s 5 Forces. Focuses value-creation building blocks at the functional and business management levels in single industries. Students will consult with real business clients in analyzing strategic plans and challenges, applying skills and concepts taught, and proposing actionable solutions to the client. They will craft a business strategic plan and personal life strategic plan.
