IT 220 Risk Analysis & Incident Resp

This course explores the role of a Security Analyst, and will require the student to complete a Risk Analysis for an existing organization which will follow the CIS 20 Critical Security Controls and require the student to provide a security consulting engagement with a deliverable of a complete Risk Analysis Report. The course will also include hands-on labs to build out key cybersecurity devices like Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Security Information Event Management Systems (SIEM). The student will experience what it is like to work in a Security Operations Center (SOC). Security Analysts will complete Incident Reports and submit detailed information as a Level-1 security analyst.
