FIN 410 Financial Statement Analysis and Modeling

Students will expand on their previous courses to read, interpret, and analyze financial statements for the purpose of decision making.  Decisions include credit worthiness, and business valuation.  Students will learn to forecast future cash flows of a company using various analytics.  This course introduces quantitative methods and computer applications in financial modeling. It covers financial statement modeling, asset allocation, asset return calculations, risk analysis, scenario generation, and investment performance analysis through the use of econometric modeling, decision analysis, simulation, and optimization techniques.  Master Budgeting, budgeting under uncertainty and capital requirements are analyzed and planned.
