IT 424 Digital Forensics and Incident Response

Exploring what is often called "the anatomy of an attack" is similar to a crime scene analyst looking for clues to help prosecute felons. The clues and proof must stand up in court and show proper chain-of-evidence procedures. In this course, the student will have the opportunity to explore the many different ways in which clues can be discovered physically or digitally on a machine, whether it is in memory, stored on a deleted hard-drive, or hiding inside of firmware on a device, or in the cloud.
