MAT 112 Calculus I
Prepares students for MAT 113. Calculus I fulfills the Quantitative Literacy General Education requirement. Introduces students to the basic principles of calculus. Includes limits and derivatives of algebraic, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions. Students will further learn basic integration techniques and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Basic applications of derivatives and integrals, including optimization and finding the area under a curve, will be covered.
Prerequisite
MAT 111 (Trigonometry) with a B- or higher or appropriate placement score.
