MCO 195A Introduction to Body Systems

Companion course to MCO 195B and recommended to be taken in conjunction with MCO 195B. This course is an introduction to subjects that will form the basis for Body Systems and medical coding classes which are to follow. Overview of body structures, including cells, tissues, and organs, as well as an introduction to the organization of body systems. Diagnostic testing and studies are also introduced. Topics include: Basic word structure, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology and pharmacology, as well as diagnostic testing and studies.
