MCO 195B Introduction to Medical Coding
Companion course to MCO 195A and recommend to be taken in conjunction with MCO 195A. MCO 195B is an introduction to medical coding. The required Medical Coding books, including CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS will be introduced. Diagnoses and procedural coding will be discussed along with the use of modifiers and coding guidelines. Practice in reading charts will be introduced by analyzing diagnoses and procedures common in medical clinics.
