BUS 113 Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism
Students will learn the basic concepts and skills needed for a career in the hospitality and tourism industry. They will learn about different sectors in the industry such as transportation, accommodations, food & beverage, recreation, entertainment, and travel services. Students will learn marketing skills, customer service skills and trends happening within the industry. By the end of this course, students will have created a personal development plan for their future employment in the industry. This will include the current skills they bring to a hospitality/tourism position, as well as the knowledge, skills, and attitudes obtained through this course.
