Certificate (Federal aid eligible if certificate is combined with Associate of Science degree, Associate of Applied Science degree, or Bachelor of Applied Science degree. Not eligible for federal aid as a stand-alone certificate.)
This is an advanced certificate. Prior to working on this certificate, you must complete the Technical Support Engineer Certificate and IT Professional Certificate.
Overview
Any job in Information Technology is going to require a solid foundation of core IT knowledge. This certificate is considered an advanced certificate and is designed to add additional IT knowledge and skills to what has been learned previously in the foundational Technical Support Engineer certificate and IT Professional Certificate. Once students have learned about basic hardware, networking technologies and operating systems, they are now ready to expand their skills by adding the following technologies:
- Cybersecurity Risk Analysis & Policy
- Penetration Testing
- DevOps Scripting for IT Security
- Digital Forensics & Incident Response
- SOC Operations (CySA+)

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the certificate, successful graduates will be able to:
- Design, configure, and query a relational database
- Configure a peer-to-peer network
- Demonstrate cybersecurity techniques including configuring proper security policies
- Demonstrate how to install and configure a Domain Controller and Active Directory objects
- Prepare and pass several industry certification exams

Graduation Requirements
1. Minimum of 15 total semester credit hours as outlined
2. Grade of C- or higher in all IT core courses
3. Cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher
